Last night I attended an Equality Illinois gala downtown, honoring people who have made great strides in helping and advancing the causes of the GLBT community.
Before the ceremony started, while waiting in line to get a drink, I heard one man saying, "It's not a crime to deny two men the right to marry. What's a crime is that two men don't get the chance to have a wedding registry!"
At least they have a sense of humor about being denied their basic rights.
