03.18.08 UR Book Smarts - The Letter B

I really need to be better about re-reading old books. My apologies.

Wuss!

You've got a lot of nerve following up a book review for a book you didn't (re)read with "please read".

I'm horrible at rereading books as well. I'll start something I loved the first time through, and never finish it. I usually read a couple chapters and then move on to something I haven't read yet. Doesn't matter how long ago I read it... I can never finish books a second time.

You don't read other books by authors you like? Does this mean you DO read books by authors you don't like? I'm just kidding! :P

But yeah, I'm more likely to buy a book randomly from an author I enjoyed previously, then taking the time to find something by someone I haven't heard of before. I usually approach a novel like I've never read from that author before, so there's no expectations to the story. For the most part that's worked for me.

But then again, I usually only buy more than one book by an author if I like their writing style, more than the book itself. Then, by the end of the book I could say," Well, it wasn't as good as the first one, but still enjoyable." Which is a nice way of saying," Man, I'm glad I read the other one first, because I probably wouldn't have if I read this one first."

Anyway, long comment aside. I vote Cupid and Diana, I'm assuming you bought the book because it was somewhat interesting looking and.... 2 dollars.

*glances at her pile of books that were bought only because they were insanely cheap (seriously, some of them were a quarter) and looked mildly interesting*

I can relate to that anyway.
