06. 3.09 Blogwrecked

Last night, while we were out to dinner, the Metallurgist brought up the dream she'd had the night before about Pop Culture Librarian and Nordic Boy. "Isn't it weird that I had a dream about them and she had a dream about us and we're all just blog friends?" I agreed that it was weird and continued eating my burger.

Then I thought for a second. "If you had to be stuck on a desert island with a blog couple - and both of them have to be bloggers - who would it be?" She thought for a second. "Kevyn and Stacy," she said. "You?"

I thought too. "Maybe Switching Over to AM and Driving Miss Dallas." She nodded as she ate her fries. "They would be a good to be stuck with."

The more I think about it, the more I realize that blog friends are to adults what imaginary friends are to kids. Just think: They're never actually around, no one else ever sees them, and other people tease and make fun of you whenever you bring them up. Or is that last one just me? Oh.

Either way, I hope I didn't just jinx myself into getting marooned on a desert island with some other bloggers. Don't get me wrong, they're great to read, but what are the odds that their survival skills are as honed as their anecdote retellings?

Oh I'd totally go on a desert island with bloggers. At least they're fun.

Maybe next season they'll have "I'm a blogger, get me out of here" instead of I'm a celebrity.

Awww! I'm flattered! You guys would be too much fun on a deserted island! Especially since The Metallurgist knows how to play bones!

Could we make sure to remember to grab margarita mixins before we get dumped in the middle of nowhere?

And Yarn. Yarn is important.

We are dreaming about each other and YOU DON'T EVEN PICK US?

Dang.

You'll be sorry. Nordic Boy can build stuff, and grow food, and friggin' DIVINE WATER. Have fun on your desert island with your witty friends while we chillax with shelter and food and stuff.

Librarian Girl! You and Nordic Boy were exempt from selection! Josh left out a lot of that conversation! Don't feel slighted! Look how many exclamation points I just used!
