11.11.09 Clothes Make the Woman

Last night the wife told me that she kept a clothes calendar. I had no idea what a clothes calendar was, so she showed me. And then I was delighted.

The basic idea is that she just draws a picture of what she's wearing that day on her desktop calendar at work.

I do like how occasionally a little emotion is added, like the "sick day frown" on the 10th above.

Does anyone else do anything like this? I'm curious to see if this is a widespread thing that I had no idea about.

THIS is the reason you can't quit blogging :)

I just figured if I practiced drawing everyday I'd get better at it. I didn't.

I don't know, Maiden Metallurgist, I see some sophisticated developments happening in the foreshortening of your left foot and the three-dimensionality of your right hand by the 12th.

And the hard hat in the 12th looks far more developed than the others.

I TOTALLY DO THAT SAME EXACT THING.

On my desk calendar at work. NO SHIT.

Wow.

I would so do that, mostly to keep track of what I've worn so that I don't repeat outfits too often.

But, I don't keep a paper calendar at work.

this is too funny, and cute! but alas, i've never heard of anyone having a hand drawn clothes calendar like this.

the maiden is an original!

in college. . .

. . . we had to write everyday for thirty minutes for one of my classes . . .

. . . and, me being me, i had a hard time getting started. whenever i did do the requisite thirty minutes of writing, all the entries began with a detailed list of what i was wearing. sans stick figures, unfortunately :)

reminds me of the book "Target Underwear and a Vera Wang Gown"
